Pemberton - Fire Tree Lookout
I jumped off the bus and walked through the beautiful western Australian forest and unveiled through the trees was this amazing monument, built by nature towering above me. Over many years this fire lookout tree had been used by people to keep a watch over the forest in search of fires. In the true spirit of adventure I followed in their footsteps spiraling the trunk of this enormous tree. My efforts were rewarded by reaching the lookout at the top and seeing laid out before me a glorious view of the forest canopy. To be fair truly an awe-inspiring experience! Well worth it..
